The Living With Loss Grief Healing workshop on 9/30 opened my eyes to my behavior and gave me an understanding as to why I was doing some of the things i’ve been doing. I’ve been wanting to do more self-help and healing activities. The sharing and communication exercises were the most helpful. I would like a follow up on this workshop.

At first I wasn’t interested in going to the workshop, I only went at my bosses suggestion, but I found it really interesting. The most helpful would be the sculptures that people acted out. It gave me a sense of what other families go through in their lives. I’d really like some one on one counseling sessions.

The Codependency workshop was so helpful, listening to everyone else’s stories helped me to realize that I am not alone, there are a lot of people like me. I really liked the small groups.

I always learn something when I attend Evelyn’s workshops. Today it was how to say no and mean it. The sculptures of how to communicate were so helpful and I’m sorry it had to end so soon.

In the Suicide hotline training, I liked having people’s voices heard; good discussions make it easier to understand and the youth involvement was great. The workshop needs to be longer so that everything is not crammed into two days. I feel like if we knew more about codependency we could make our family stronger and be more able to help others.

The codependency workshop I attended on 9/11/13 was awesome. I received some tools to take with me when I go home. I never knew what boundaries were, now I do. I really need to learn how to say no and how to take care of myself.

The suicide hotline training on 10/27/09 helped me to learn about myself and before I can help anyone else I have to know myself. All of the handouts had information that we need to know. The things about codependency were really good.

I am writing to compliment you on "How It Feels to be Chemically Dependent".  This book has been a very valuable asset in my group counseling sessions.  I used your book to help a client see through his denial and ultimately recognize his addiction. Thank you for your work!

Your Detachment book is dog-eared and frazzled from my use of it over this past year. It has been a Godsend and put my feet on the right path to serenity and peace of mind. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Your book, To Be Somebody, saved my marriage. Before I heard it, I had no knowledge of what was wrong. I thought it was all me and then my wonderful sister-in-law turned me on to this powerful message. I can’t thank you enough or praise God enough for this.

There are those people who God brings into our lives to teach us how to be better human beings.....Evelyn Leite has been that to not only me, but hundreds, possibly thousands of others. As a friend, a therapist, a mother, a sister, an aunt and a daughter she has been an invaluable example of strength, courage, compassion and understanding. Through her gift of sharing openly and honestly, she has taught us all about love, faith, vulnerability, fear, anger, perseverance, starting over, and most importantly, truth. She is the definition of one who not only talks the talk; she has certainly and continues to walk the walk. I personally cherish time spent in her presence. At many dark places in my life, God's light and love shining through her has been the beacon of hope I needed.

I met Evelyn 19 years ago when I attended a co-dependency workshop she was leading. I was told that she had done her own work and I was very pleased to find that was true. She truly does "walk the walk and not just talk the talk." Over the past 19 years Evelyn has been a leader and person that I have admired for her honesty, innovativeness, compassion, knowledge and deep spirituality. The help that I received from Evelyn has continued to influence my life today. I highly recommend her!

Evelyn Leite is the most talented counselor I have ever worked with. It is not just her educated skills that make her exceptional, it is her ability to use her instincts at just the right time. It is very hard to truly put your trust in someone with something as important as your true being, all that you are or aren't. The trust that Evelyn builds from the onset is what makes her so remarkable. And in that process creates a path that allows a person the choice to be set free.

Praise for Evelyn's Latest Book

Evelyn Leite is a shepherdess who shines a bright light on healing and has a lifetime of experience on the path. Loving, supportive partners who are themselves on this path can be a huge advantage. Healing from childhood trauma is vital and facing our wounds is how we move beyond them. Evelyn's book offers hope and can help us all move toward our destination.

Praise for the Family Restoration Program

The Family Restoration Training gave me a lot of tools I never knew about. I got a lot of help in knowing how to open up to myself and to my family. I really liked the role plays where they acted out the family dynamics also I liked the small groups where I got to talk about myself.
